The room became full with anxiety and questions to the stranger’s last words and his sudden silence as the video came to a halt. The minds of those who saw the video was buzzing with emptiness like the flickering screen. The only context this was applicable was with the current world’s chaotic state. Earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, huge waves and storms of unfathomable strength enveloping continents after another. Earth was on what it felt like the end of the world. And yet this person in the video is saying there is going to be a new world? It did not seem like it but for now it was a tiny fragment of hope the people could hold onto. Days and months passed by, but nothing improved rather it got worse. Earthquakes sundered lands apart, the tidal waves devoured islands and shores of continents, Storms ripped the human made infrastructures from the ground, even the sky got covered in ominous black light. Basically everything man made was destroyed and there was total darkness across the world. After the elements of Mother Nature calmed and the long yearned sun light appeared, people who had survived started to come out from their shelters and were traumatized by the change of scenery. The world was not of what it was before. Land marks that were once there to give recognition of place were gone and they were surrounded by foreign environments. People gathered and scavenged what they can to survive and formed what are merely just refugee camps in building which didn’t get pulled apart. For what it seemed like months after the calamity, people started to return to the old values of ownership. People fought over food, tools and other daily needs. Those of them who fought physically even ended up in bloody situations. As conflicts got worse, people started disappearing and showed up next morning in piles of bloody filth on the out skirts of the encampment. As days and nights passed by, the rotting corpses that should be should be lying the last time they fell vanished. Only trails of black hardened blood was left disappearing in to the depths of the exposed sewage pipes that once lay underground. Again the people felt fear. The fear was amplified by the eerie howls of animals that were not identifiable by any means. People started to leave the little encampment one by one out of fear and anticipation of what lay ahead of them in this new world. Days became months and months became years. After awhile the whole of the area around the encampment showed no signs of human life, only those eerie howls lingered. People across the world were now searching for safe havens where they can settle, but wherever they went the surroundings were full of living creatures and plantation that they had never encountered, due to this they could not permanently settle and so they became wonderers moving from one place to another after a set period of time. However, some did not follow, they stayed and settled, gathering resources and building small accommodations calling them ‘houses’ that they can live in. As time passed, the small settlement became enlarged in population and in size.
Soon they will be able to rebuild the lives that they once lived. As people lived on they told their children, and children’s children of what had happened in the past, and when they came to telling of the chaos that struck, they called it the ‘Coming of the second Ragnorak’.
